2005 New Mexico International Auto Show

April, 2005, marked Albuquerque's second "International" auto show, and I was there with my camera. Nevermind that it took me like 7 months to post the pix... Some interesting cars, some interesting carshow hoochies. Lots of domestic-type concept cars, not a lot else. For a second year, it was pretty good. I'll undoubtedly go next year.

Mazda's booth sucked. No new cars, only an old Miata and RX-8
Mazda had two cars this year, an old Miata and an old RX-8. Not very exciting...

silver modified Ford GT that I wouldn't mind drooling on.
One of the Ford GTs present.

Another Ford GT. This one was showing off some naughty bits!

striped Ford GT with hood open
As mentioned, the naughty bits.

Ford GT supercharger and engine compartment
The SS Concept was pretty tasty. The presenter wasn't too bad either.

Bengal concept car. Not bad for a domestic
The Bengal Concept wasn't too bad either. A step up from the Solstice, I think.

Weird Shelby Cobra concept
A Shelby something (Cobra?) concept. Very strange looking.

rear angle of Cobra concept. Maybe the ugly stick hit it?
The girl presenting didn't really know anything and didn't have much of a crowd...

Engine compartment of Shelby Cobra showing Carrol's signature
... so I talked her into opening it up. Then the crowd gathered.

Concept Bronco. My pick for best-of-show. Retro drips off of it!

Concept Bronco was one of the nicest cars at the show.
JCW Mini. Carbon fiber-y goodness.

a Jeep Wrangler with no dirt on it. Sad.
Isn't there a law against Jeeps ever being this clean?

A strange fullsized Jeep concept and a presenter with a nice ghetto booty
Strange Jeep thingy. It was big.
