This page includes weird Miata related stuff that I've run across through the years. It will be updated randomly.
An MX-5 tail light in the New York Museum of Modern Art
Imagine my surprise when I was wandering the 3rd floor of MoMA last Christmas looking at the industrial art exhibits, when
I spot PART OF MY CAR! I stopped dead in my tracks with my mouth agape. My wife started to ask me what was the matter,
then she focused on the piece of Mazda art. Incredible. There it was right between the iPod and the Aibo. And I've
got two of them in my garage. Who would ever consider changing these beauties out for Altezzas?!?
My beater Civic rolling over 100,000 miles at 100 mph
There's an old Miata legend that says a Miata that passes 100,000 miles at 100 mph and has a picture proving it will
live the next 100,000 miles as if it were the first. Perhaps you've heard this legend? I figured, it wouldn't hurt to
apply this to my 1989 beater Civic sedan. Yes, an 89 with only 100,000 miles on it in 2006. It's a creampuff as far
as beaters go. It could even achieve 100 mph, though it was a scary trip. Holding the camera by the
gauges made it even better. So here's to you, 89 Civic! May the next 100,000 miles be happy ones.
